Abstract

This IDC Market Perspective provides key takeaways from Orange Business Services' Analyst Days that took place on July 6 and 7, 2022. It gives IDC's views on connectivity, cloud computing and edge, mobility, mobile private network, IT, and systems integration.

"Orange Business Services failed to deliver growing EBITDA from 2021 as stipulated in the Engaged 2025 strategic plan. On the contrary, the EBITDA sharply dropped because IT & integration did not offset revenue losses in traditional services. In Engage 2025's three ambitions — grow, scale, and transform — Orange Business Services identified growth engines: cloud, security, SDx, smart manufacturing, MPN and edge, integration, and managed services," said Bruno Teyton, associate vice president, IDC Europe Networking and Life-Cycle Services. "Orange Business Services must accelerate in scaling and transforming. In the coming months, IDC expects significant changes and announcements in its operating model, IT, and ecosystem to recover and deliver an EBITDA margin close to its peers in the 20% range."
