Abstract
This IDC Survey Spotlight explores European governments' plans regarding the use of critical technology capabilities and solutions to support environmental sustainability. It looks at their investment plans over the next 18 months and identifies that governments are still generally investing in upstream data generation and organization capabilities rather than more downstream analytics and visualization capabilities. Location technologies are also a top priority for governments as they support many sustainability use cases, from environmental monitoring to supply chain management and sustainable buildings and infrastructure.
