Abstract
These event proceedings were presented at the IDC Directions conferences in Boston and Santa Clara in March 2023.
Trust is emerging as the number 1 factor in acceptance of automation, in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), and in customer retention and business growth — but what does it mean? How do we know whether we have it? In this session, we will describe how trust has changed and how it may change as emerging technologies are more widely adopted. We will also present findings from the IDC Trust Perception Index and the implications of these findings for the maintenance of trustworthy businesses.
