According to the Interpretation of the Chinese Enterprise Router Market, 4Q20 study released by IDC, China's router market revenue in 2020 reached 3.76 billion dollars, a year-over-year (YoY) increase of 3.3%. This IDC study is based on the data from the first quarter to the fourth quarter of 2020. It introduces the China and the global router market scale and presents a five-year market forecast. It also presents a competitive analysis and an industry analysis of the China router market. This study also analyzes the operators and enterprise network routers in the said market from a market perspective.

Albert Wang, senior analyst of IDC's China Network Market, says: "2020 is an extremely critical year for 5G development, and thanks to the construction of 5G basestations and smart metropolitan area networks, operators made huge investments in backhaul and bearer networks. With the spread of 5G basestations across the country and the accelerated popularization of terminals, the development of 5G applications is also gaining momentum, and multiple 5G industries applications have begun to be implemented. In addition to operator investment, industry growth is mainly concentrated in the government, finance, electricity, and manufacturing industries. In building a Digital China upon request, the government is gradually deepening information disclosure, enhancing work transparency, and accelerating the construction of the egovernment network to improve the services quality for the people. It is expected that there will still be long-term opportunities for construction in the future."
