Abstract

This IDC Market Note analyzes Kaspersky's Industrial CyberSecurity platform. With a focus on the imperative need to curb cybercrimes and provide holistic security to enterprises, especially for their operational technology (OT) and industrial automation and control systems (IACS), Kaspersky offers a concoction of products and services aimed toward industrial cybersecurity solutions. These offerings provide a strategic initiative to strengthen enterprises' security landscape across industrial endpoint protection and industrial anomaly and breach detection with centralized security management and powered with training, awareness, expert services, and intelligence.

As enterprises are evolving and moving toward adapting security controls for their IT systems, IACS solutions inevitably continue to be the target for the growing cyberattacks. Some of the recent cyberattacks that are still a cause of distress for many executives include a ransomware attack on Picanol's plants in Belgium, Romania, and China; another cyberattack targeting Australia-based beverage giant Lion; a cyberattack on the Oldsmar water treatment facility; data wiper malware ZeroCleare; ransomware LockerGoga; and the Colonial Pipeline ransomware attack by DarkSide. OT and industrial cybersecurity have been a rising concern for C-level leaders.
