Abstract

We are living in a hyperconnected world. With an increase in remote users and software-as-a-service (SaaS) applications, data moving from the datacenter to cloud-based applications and services, and more traffic going to cloud services and branch offices than back to the datacenter, the requirement for a new approach to network security has exponentially increased. This is where the need to embrace the concept of network and security convergence, also sometimes referred as secure access service edge (SASE), comes into play. This document details the core components of SASE, the business and technological benefits expected out of a SASE framework, and where are India enterprises, especially, legacy and data-sensitive industries investing in, when it comes to the increasing adoption of SASE frameworks.
