Lars Goransson

Managing Director, IDC Canada & LATAM

Lars Goransson is responsible for IDC's Canada & LATAM operations as Managing Director

Lars Goransson is responsible for IDC Canada and LATAM operations as Managing Director. IDC Canada and LATAM product and services offerings provide the IT community with market intelligence and market based research across the value continuum of budgeting & planning, marketing awareness and lead generation, and measurement and performance management. Lars is also part of IDC’s Global Management Team.

Prior to his role as Managing Director, Lars has held a number of senior analyst and management roles since joining IDC in 1996, most recently as General Manager & Group VP. Previously, Lars managed IDC Canada’s Custom Solutions Group providing proprietary advisory services to Canadian clients. Lars started his career with IDC in the IT outsourcing space and successfully built a very a large IT Services Research Group in Canada.

Mr. Goransson is a graduate of the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden. Lars is a board member at TECHNATION. He is also a board member at the Canadian Channel Chiefs Council (C4) and chairs the Research Committee. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a member of the Canadian Association of Management Consultants (CAMC).

Jean Philippe Bouchard

Vice-President, Data & Analytics

Leads the Data & Analytics research group at IDC Canada

Jean Philippe (JP) Bouchard is Vice-President, Data & Analytics at IDC Canada. In this role, JP is responsible for leading the team of analysts delivering Continuous Intelligence Services, Trackers and custom research in the Future of Work and Mobility group, by providing insights on how technology is changing work culture, the workspace, and the workforce itself in Canada. JP’s team also provides insights on mobile phones, PCs, tablets, hard copy peripherals, 3D printing, wearables, AR-VR and consumer services.

Prior to this role, JP was the Research Director for the Worldwide Tablets program at IDC. JP has spent the past twenty years working in the mobile and personal computing fields, with experiences at carrier, vendor and industry analyst levels. His areas of expertise include modeling and market forecasting, distribution channels, mobile device and platforms, go to market strategies, strategic marketing and product management. Bilingual and media trained, Jean Philippe holds a master's degree in Applied Econometrics and Labor Economics from Universite de Montreal, Canada.

Jean Philippe Bouchard est Vice-président de la recherche sur le futur du travail et la mobilité. Son équipe d'analystes couvre la publication de Trackers, de recherche en continue et de projets spécifiques dans les secteurs de la mobilité et de la transformation du milieu de travail, que ce soit au niveau culturel ou purement technologique. Son équipe est également en charge de la publication de données de marché pour les PCs, tablettes, téléphones intelligents, imprimantes, technologies prêt-à-porter, réalité virtuelle et augmentée et des services grand public.

Jean Philippe amène plus de 20 ans d'expertises sur le marché de la mobilité avec des expériences de travail pour les fournisseurs de réseaux sans-fils et des équipementiers de téléphone intelligent, au Canada, en France et au Royaume-Uni. Son expérience couvre la modélisation et le dimensionnement de marché, l'analyse stratégique qualitative et quantitative, les stratégies de mise en marché et l'intelligence concurrentiel.

Bilingue et formé aux relations avec les médias, Jean Philippe est titulaire d'une Maîtrise en économétrie et économie du travail de l'Université de Montreal et d'un Master en politiques économiques de l'Université d'Auvergne en France.

Ryan McNally is Group Vice President, Sales & Marketing at IDC Canada. He manages all Canadian based Account Managers and is the regional contact for Canada. Ryan is an integral member of IDC Canada's senior leadership team. Ryan also manages the Canadian Marketing Team.

Ryan is a proven sales and marketing leader who is proficient in delivering sales and marketing strategies, executing business development growth plans and penetrating new markets.

Ryan is also recognized as an industry leader in driving high performance sales teams with previous experience at many worldwide tech companies including at Dell Computer Corporation, Datadomain/EMC, and Storagetek/Sun Microsystems.

Tony Olvet

Group Vice President, Worldwide C-Suite and Canadian Future Enterprise Research

Group Vice President, Worldwide C-Suite and Canadian Future Enterprise Research at IDC

Tony Olvet is Group Vice President, worldwide C-suite tech agenda and lead for IDC's Future Enterprise research in Canada. His global responsibilities focus on the connection between business transformation and digital investments across the C-Suite through the lens of IDC's "Future of X" (FoX) framework. Tony's analysis and insights help technology vendors, IT professionals, and business executives make fact-based decisions on technology strategy. He also provides research leadership and management for the analyst team in Canada.

Tony has researched and authored analyst reports on a variety of industry topics including digital transformation, IoT, cloud and c-suite technology priorities. He is also a frequent public speaker delivering keynote presentations at conferences, IDC webinars, and virtual events for clients. Tony is member of IDC Canada’s senior leadership team and is based in Toronto, Canada.

Tony has worked with clients across a variety of organizations including global IT manufacturers, enterprise software vendors, telecom service providers, financial institutions and public sector organizations. He has been quoted in major business and industry media including CIO Magazine, The Globe and Mail, CBC and The Financial Post.

Tony earned a B.E.S. degree from the University of Waterloo, and an M.A. degree from the University of Toronto.

Kesavan Tharmarajah is IDC Canada's Director of Finance and Administration

Kesavan Tharmarajah comes to IDC Canada with tremendous Finance and Operational expertise, as well as Technology Industry experience. Before joining IDC Canada, Kesavan was the senior Finance leader for NTT Canada, where he was responsible for all aspects of Finance and Accounting. Before NTT, Kesavan spent over ten years with Accenture Canada in a progressive series of Business Operations Management and Corporate Finance roles. Kesavan is a graduate of Ryerson University, and is currently pursuing an EMBA at Quantic School of Business and Technology.
