This IDC study presents the five-year forecast for advanced smartwatch shipments in the United States.
"2023 was a challenging year for the U.S. advanced smartwatch market, but 2024 is shaping up to be a year of recovery," points out Ramon T. Llamas, research director for IDC's Wearables program. "Macroeconomic recovery is taking slow, but steady, steps forward. New smartwatches from the likes of Apple, Samsung, Google, and others are expected to launch. But perhaps the biggest driver is an installed base looking to replace their smartwatches they've had for the past several years.
