This IDC Survey Spotlight explores datacenter environments that organizations utilize for the generative AI (GenAI) tasks of training, tuning, and inferencing. Their preference is to use third-party datacenters at a greater rate than other workloads, with only a modest difference between tasks. This IDC Survey Spotlight is based on IDC's Future Enterprise Resiliency and Spending Survey, which surveyed IT leaders' attitudes and expectations in the next 12 months for over 800 organizations.
