This IDC study presents the market shares of worldwide foundries and analyzes the revenue performance, capacity, capacity utilization, and process technology of major manufacturers to explore future development trends.
"Foundry plays a central role in the semiconductor supply chain. Despite the order adjustment of fabless chipmakers, the overall performance in 2023 was relatively conservative. In 2024, however, the foundry market is expected to experience a robust growth of 17.3% with the gradual destocking in the supply chain and the gradual stabilization of foundry orders, including the recovery of market conditions in consumer electronics, communications, computing, and other application fields that will offset the slowdown in demand for industrial and automotive electronics, as well as with the explosive growth of AI and HPC," says Galen Zeng, senior research manager at IDC.
