Abstract

This IDC Survey provides an overview of some of the U.S. results from IDC’s 2023 Worldwide Managed CloudView Survey of enterprises involving their use of managed cloud services. The U.S. portion of this study involved 400 respondents from U.S. firms with 1,000 or more employees. This study offers insight into enterprise cloud strategy priorities; business and technology drivers along with inhibitors in utilizing managed cloud services, and preferred standardized private cloud solutions and where to locate these private clouds.

This document also provides IDC’s essential guidance for service providers looking to compete effectively in the world of managed cloud services. Key areas of advice include building a new operating model, implementing an integrated matrix for public cloud partners, creating a standardized hybrid cloud structure, and leveraging their strengths in supporting multicloud operations.
