This IDC Survey Spotlight highlights results from the following two questions posed to 476 respondents and firms with 1,000+ employees across 5 countries, and several major industries, as part of IDC's 2023 Worldwide Managed Services Survey: "Business Drivers. Which two of the following does your company/organization believe are the primary business drivers in utilizing managed services? and Technology Drivers. Which two of the following does your company/organization believe are the primary technology drivers in utilizing managed services?"
This IDC Survey Spotlight then assesses the impact of enterprise requirements on managed SPs (service providers) when using managed services and the need for managed SPs to create a holistic governance structure, utilize a range of standardization building blocks, build a digital services supply chain, and incorporate AI (artificial intelligence).
