Abstract
This IDC Survey Spotlight highlights data from IDC's November 2023 Site Reliability Engineering Survey, which shows how SREs in enterprise organizations are spending their time.
According to Gary Chen, research director, Software Defined Compute at IDC, "SREs by definition have a narrow and focused goal but must engage in a wide variety of activities to support it. There is a lot of potential for technologies such as AI to reduce the toil required and allow SREs to allocate more time to proactive tasks."
