This IDC Market Note provides insights into Oracle's CloudWorld 2023 event. 2H23 saw a flurry of significant announcements come out of Oracle, building up to and including the vendor's flagship annual customer event — Oracle CloudWorld (OCW). Across FY23, Oracle has set its sights on reorienting how organizations think about functional suite provisions to go to market based on data origination and use cases rather than functional and solution-based use cases. Key to the transition is that the vendor has begun consolidating functionality natively into its suite offerings while reengineering how data is managed cross-functionally within the provision of its foundational data lake.
