Abstract
This IDC Survey provides survey results and analysis to gauge the demand and needs of smartphone buyers in the consumer space. The U.S. smartphone market is in a current decline as spending and upgrade rates have impacted the smartphone market negatively over the past four months. Questions abound as to whether consumers will still pay higher prices in the current economic climate or if the upgrade cycle will continue to lengthen. This survey analyzed specific trends to understand consumer smartphone refresh cycles, buying patterns, refurbished demand, foldable interest, brand choice, and average purchase prices.
