This IDC study is one of three deliverables that constitute the container infrastructure software market assessment study.
"Containers are the next-generation platform that is growing rapidly within enterprises. This IDC study, based on in-depth interviews with 11 enterprise adopters, shows that containers deployments are being used for production and are growing. But container platforms still lack a level of polish and sophistication in many areas," says Gary Chen, research director, Software-Defined Compute at IDC.
