This IDC Perspective, part of a five-report series on capabilities for future IT, explores the essential IT products and services capabilities that make up ecosystem management. This document lays out the capability development road map for building critical ecosystem management skills at all levels of the organization — leadership, management, and staff — in terms of what needs to be done now, in the near term, and to build momentum in the future. This road map enables IT leaders to build effective and resilient ecosystem management within the IT organization.
