Abstract
This IDC Survey takes a deep dive into the role that sustainability plays in the context of IT infrastructure planning and procurement. While global in nature, the survey data and analysis also provide details by region, industry, and respondent role. The data collected will form a baseline for future IDC surveys, which will be repeated annually. These surveys will be conducted to gain insights into needs and spending plans related to sustainable IT infrastructure.
Some 1,640 participants across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and Asia-Pacific and Japan were polled in the survey. The survey respondents included managers (directors and managers of IT and line-of-business functions), C-level executives, and vice presidents. All respondents hold significant decision-making or influencing roles in delivering digital outcomes and building out digital infrastructure within their respective organizations.
