This market presentation introduces IDC's framework to assessthe status of ICT practitioners on their journey to becominga sustainable enterprise.The framework offers several benefits to technology providers. Among them, it assesses the status of ICT practitioners on their journey to becoming a sustainable enterprise; it identifies ICT practitioners' pain points and needs; and empowers diverse types of tech providers to fine tune their respective technology offerings.
The established methodological framework leverages input from 1,800 respondents to IDC's Worldwide Sustainability Maturity Survey and is complemented by IDC expertise in qualitative and quantitative primary research techniques.
Organizations globally are distributed across the five readiness stages that represent the level of adoption along the key sustainability essentials (i.e., availability of financing, accountability and governance, sustainability strategy, metrics used for measurement, and operational practices). IDC's framework serves as a guide to technology vendors for developing a go-to-market strategy to address the needs of customers across those five stages.
