Abstract

This IDC Survey presents responses from 4,300 employees across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) related to hybrid working practices and challenges. These responses were collected in February and March in IDC's FoW Employee Experience EMEA Survey, 2024. The presentation also explores the implications of the survey results for vendors of human capital management (HCM) and payroll applications.

"Hybrid working practices are here to stay, and we noticed that on average, hybrid workers are happier than fully onsite or fully remote peers," said Bo Lykkegaard, associate vice president, European software research at IDC. "However, responses from hybrid and remote workers also revealed frustrations regarding team and personal productivity as well as concerns related to team cohesion and a lack of attachment to a broader organizational culture. These are the issues to address in a hybrid working world."
