Abstract
This IDC Survey discusses government-related results from IDC's EMEA Cross-Industry Acceleration Survey, conducted by the IDC European Insights group in October and November 2023. For the survey, IDC interviewed representatives from 1,013 organizations with more than 10 employees across Western Europe, Central and Eastern Europe, and the Middle East and Africa.
This end-user survey provides critical information for IDC research groups studying EMEA business trends, IT trends, and IT purchasing patterns. It also details European organizations' requirements and solution priorities. Survey results are analyzed by vertical market, company size, and line of business (LOB).
The following results focus on respondents from central (international and national) and local (regional) governments. It analyzes the potential for next-generation technologies and the importance of the ecosystem while working on new topics such as energy efficiency, smart & sustainable roads, digital twins, smart rivers, and tech4food.
