Abstract
This IDC Survey Spotlight provides an in-depth view of cloud-native application development and delivery penetration in Europe across the cloud custom app estate, comparing adoption in 2023 over 2022. It also looks at how European organizations' expectations are evolving going into 2024. IDC looks at penetration by segmenting organizations into three categories: lower midmarket organizations (500–999 FTEs), midmarket organizations (1,000–4,999 FTEs), and large enterprises (5,000 FTEs or more). IDC provides its views on current levels of penetration and ambitions in the context of the current business mandates and pain points shaping app dev/delivery priorities among organizations in Europe.
The document is based on a survey question from IDC's European DevOps and Modern App Delivery Survey in September 2023. The survey covered 600 organizations with more than 500 FTEs across Europe with capabilities in application development and delivery.
