Abstract

This IDC PeerScape sets out best practices for organizations hoping to leverage low-code platforms for efficient integration and presents examples of organizations that have managed integration tasks successfully with low-code platforms. The study identifies four best practices that can be implemented or used as a starting point when considering low-code platform options to meet business requests and adapt to the changing IT and business landscape.

"Integration tasks continue to be a priority for IT departments and businesses as the latter aim for agile business processes and rely extensively on the integration of digital solutions into the existing IT environment. Guidance and governance should be introduced as early as possible — as integration starts to scale within an organization. Low-code platforms are a powerful option and provide faster integration and automation, but companies must account for organizational factors and employee training." — Research Director Elena Semenovskaia, IDC Europe
