Abstract
This IDC Survey Spotlight examines the adoption of generative AI technologies by organizations across Asia/Pacific and the key use cases and industries it is being leveraged. The survey findings are taken from IDC's 2023 Future Enterprise Resiliency and Spending Survey, Wave 2, in which a total of 362 Asia/Pacific (including Japan) (APJ) respondents were interviewed on topics, including economic, IT spending, recession expectations, and generative AI preparedness. This document also touches on the lack of governance in this space and growing concerns regarding the risk of generative AI without appropriate guardrails. It also names some of the growing vendors in this space especially across China and South Korea.
